How Evan Craft’s Music Brings Comfort and Healing
Christian artist Evan Craft talked to us about the transformative power of music in people’s lives. Through his music, Evan has connected with many individuals facing significant challenges, offering them comfort and hope.
From a young age, Evan wanted to create music that would not just entertain but also inspire and encourage others. Committed to sharing the gospel through music led him to produce songs that resonate with people on a personal level, often providing comfort and strength during difficult times.
“I think through the art of music, people can truly come face to face with Jesus and find transformations in their lives,” Evan shared. At the heart of his work, he holds a deep passion for creating music that speaks to the soul.
Music’s Healing Force
Evan recounted several instances where listeners reached out to share how his songs had a significant impact on their lives. A missionary family in Mexico told Evan about the comfort his song “Fight On My Knees” brought them during a tragic loss.
“They just told me they lost their grandchild, and that they got to hear ‘Fight on My Knees.’ They’d been praying for their daughter, who’s just going through it right now,” Evan explained.

A Special Connection
One particularly moving story involved Evan’s Spanish cover of “Blessed Assurance,” originally by Hillsong. “There was a kid with cancer that passed away, but that was his song,” Evan said. Music can have transcended language and provide comfort to those in need.
“In the moments that I felt like I was just a fraud or I was just doing someone else’s song, God was showing me, ‘Hey, I can use anything,’” he expressed.
Through these experiences, Evan has learned that his music ministry is so much more than creating songs. It’s all about being a vessel for God’s message. “In those moments, I realized that it’s not about me; it’s about how God uses these songs to reach people,” Evan noted. It’s humbled him and deepened his commitment to creating music that serves a greater purpose.
His songs have become anthems of hope and resilience for many, offering a lifeline during times of despair. Evan’s music provides a unique way for listeners to connect with God and find peace.
