The Master’s Investment
What if you woke up tomorrow and realized that everything in your life—your skills, your time, your resources, even your influence—wasn’t just yours to manage but something God trusted you to grow? And what if you didn’t see it as pressure but as a privilege? That kind of perspective helps you move through each day for the kingdom’s benefit. So, the real question is: what are you doing with the Master’s investment?
His master said to him, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.”
– Matthew 25:23 ESV
Jesus tells a parable about a master who entrusts his servants with different amounts of money—five, two, and one talent—each according to their ability. The story isn’t about wealth management, investments, or risk strategies. It’s about spiritual trust. God has given you gifts (some visible, some hidden) that you should use to demonstrate your faith and bless others.
Your talents and gifts may come in various forms, such as teaching, organizing, encouraging, strategizing, or building. Every one of them, whether you think they’re flashy or not, has kingdom potential. God gave you these specific gifts because He trusts you to use them well. Without question, the Holy Spirit will help you develop and multiply these talents for the kingdom.
God has given you specialized talents and gifts for you to multiply.
So, ask yourself, where are you investing your energy? Playing it safe can feel wise, but God never asked you to be safe; He asked you to be faithful and trust Him. The servant who buried the talent lost more than an opportunity; he missed the joy of partnering with his master and receiving blessings.
Refuse to play the comparison game with someone else. God asked you to trust Him with what He placed in your care. The increase comes when you step out by faith, with trust, and for His glory.
Today’s One Thing
Read Matthew 25:14-30 and declare, “God has entrusted me with gifts and purpose. I choose to multiply what He’s given me by living faithfully, courageously, and expectantly for His kingdom.”
