Stand Up Again!
You carefully developed the plan. You prayed, prepped, and poured your energy into it, believing it would unfold beautifully. And then—just like that—it collapsed. That kind of disappointment hits like a punch to the gut.
Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.
– Micah 7:8 NLT
A major letdown doesn’t mean your story’s over. You might be sitting in the dark, but God still has a plan. When life doesn’t go the way you anticipated, God steps into the wreckage with you. He’s not shaking His head, but holding out His hand to lift you up.
God lights up the darkness with His presence and pulls you to your feet. The setback didn’t catch Him off guard. He’s already planning how to use it for something greater.
God doesn’t need perfect plans to do powerful things.
Disappointments can make you feel like God has left you on the sidelines. But He knows your future. He is preparing your stage for something new and lasting. A detour may redirect your heart toward a deeper calling He has for you. God redeems what feels wasted. He uses broken plans to stir up new beginnings.
Take His hand. Let God steady your feet. Keep trusting Him in the unknown. What looks like an end might actually be the spark of something sacred – something only He could bring out of disappointment.
Today’s One Thing
Thank God for what you’re walking through today, and say, “I trust You, Lord. You are lifting me, restoring me, and working something new through my setbacks.”
