Spiritual Reset
A few years ago, Kelly realized something had shifted. Her daily routine was full, but her soul felt empty. She had drifted from time with God—not intentionally, just gradually. Life had crowded out the quiet places where she used to meet with Him.
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
– Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
Recognizing the need for something more, she took a weekend retreat to reconnect with God. She prayed, read scripture, and journaled honestly. During that time, she came across today’s verse, and it became her lifeline.
We all need to take those moments and respond when God gently calls us back to stillness, back to Him.
Kelly came back lighter. She hadn’t solved all her problems, but her focus had shifted. The spiritual reset realigned her heart with God’s voice and reminded her where her strength truly comes from.
We all need those moments. Life can clutter our minds and dull our awareness of God’s presence. But He gently calls us back—back to stillness, back to clarity, back to Him.
A spiritual reset doesn’t always require a retreat. Sometimes it’s simply setting aside a specific time to be with God on purpose. In that space, we remember who He is—and who we are in Him.
Today’s One Thing
Set aside a block of time this week—an hour if you can. Step away from noise and distractions. Open your Bible, pray, and listen.
