Hope that Holds On
Even when life takes unexpected turns, God remains close—stirring our hearts with hope, healing, and strength to keep believing.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
— Romans 8:28 NKJV
Audrey from New Mexico shared her story of heartbreak, healing, and holding on to God in the middle of it all.
“Three years ago, I had gotten off of drugs. My oldest son was in a serious accident. I nursed him back to health, and I listened to FLR to give me hope. God gave him a miracle, and nothing’s wrong with him. Then, in June, my middle son was sentenced to prison, and FLR gives me hope that God works all things for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes.”
Her words are full of real-life pain—and real-life faith. Audrey knows what it means to cling to hope when things are falling apart. And she knows what it looks like when God shows up with a miracle.
God is still working, even when we don’t see the outcome yet.
Audrey has walked through seasons of deliverance, healing, and deep sorrow, yet her eyes remain fixed on the goodness of God. She doesn’t pretend everything is easy. But her faith in the Father is steady—because He has proven Himself faithful. Audrey has discovered God is still working—even when we don’t see the outcome yet.
This is what it looks like to walk with the Father. It’s not a pain-free journey, but a heart alive to hope, a life marked by the truth that He never lets go.
If your heart feels worn or uncertain today, remember God is not finished writing your story. Your heavenly Father is working all things together—even the hard things—for your good.
Today’s One Thing
Write down Romans 8:28 and place it somewhere you’ll see it this week. When discouragement creeps in, speak it aloud. Let it remind you of God’s power to redeem every chapter of your story.
