Feel Again

God’s kindness gently nudges you awake. He softens what’s grown dull, nudges you toward hope, and urges you to feel again.

And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.
– Ezekiel 36:26 NLT

You carry a lot—newsfeeds, noise, and distractions that pull your attention away from what matters. Your heart grows dull little by little, and you barely notice. But when you turn to God in prayer, He meets your numbness with His tenderness. He moves toward you with the same steady love that first drew you to Him. The Holy Spirit reminds you that your heart still has the capacity to stretch toward God again.

God stirs your heart because His kindness refuses to let numbness be the final word.

You find freedom when you admit to God that your heart feels numb. He stirs that desire not to condemn you, but to free you. Forgiveness clears the clutter inside your heart and mind, opening space for compassion, affection, and renewed strength. You breathe easier when you return to His Word. God makes it possible. He replaces heaviness with hope, hardness with softness, and resentment with peace.

Ask God to make your heart tender again. Scripture promises that He replaces a stony heart with one that responds to Him. This is His work, His kindness, His miracle in you. When you pray, “Lord, stir and refresh my heart. Let love move me again,” you’re inviting Him to shape you from the inside out. He’s faithful to restore what numbness has stolen.

Today’s One Thing
“God, stir my heart, soften what has grown numb, and fill me with love that moves me freely again.”
