Standing Confident in Who God Says You Are
Confidence in your actions grows when you decide to anchor your identity in God’s assurance. By doing this, your actions become aligned with His plans. You discover courage when you believe God goes with you into every challenge.
This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
– Joshua 1:9 NLT
The moment you realize God is with you, you step into the day carrying more than talent, preparation, or experience—you carry the presence of God with you. That changes how you face decisions, conversations, and moments that once felt intimidating.
Joshua understood this kind of confidence. He stood at the edge of leadership with enormous responsibility ahead of him. Courage flowed from God’s promise to remain present wherever Joshua went. The command to be strong rested on the assurance that God would not leave him.
When God calls you, He also goes with you. Confidence stops being something you manufacture based on your experience and becomes something you receive from a Holy and righteous God. You no longer rely on proving yourself or controlling outcomes. You depend on God and learn to trust that His presence is all you need.
Confidence grows when you believe God’s presence is greater than your fear.
Living this way reshapes how you show up each day. You speak with clarity, embody peace, and rest in the freedom of obedience over perfection. God’s presence serves as a stabilizer, enabling you to live and move in both familiar and unfamiliar territory.
Standing confident in who God says you are allows you to live freely and boldly. You walk forward knowing God remains faithful to guide, strengthen, and uphold you.
Today’s One Thing
Relinquish all your fear to the Lord, and affirm with faith, “I stand confident today because God goes with me and strengthens me wherever I walk.”
