When God Meets You in the Music

Faith can rise in the smallest moment—like a song that finds you when your heart is overwhelmed. In grief and fear, you don’t usually know what you need, but God does.

Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you.
— Psalm 56:3 NKJV

Yadira from Arizona, shared how God met her during a painful season of loss—through a song on the radio.

“I was going through a divorce, a lot of depression, just crying over everything that was going on through my life. I’m listening to the radio. I’m changing stations. I come along Family Life Radio, and I hear this beautiful song by Lauren Daigle. From there on, I never changed my radio station. I would just listen to Family Life Radio, and it would get me through every day.”

Fear loses its grip when we lean into our pain and find God in the middle of it with us.

Yadira didn’t plan to encounter God that day. She was simply searching for something to break through the grief and fear. In the middle of a station scan, God reached out to her with comfort wrapped in melody.

As Yadira listened each day, God used music and messages of hope to stir her heart toward trust and healing. She found the One she could hold on to through it all.

If you’re facing a season where fear feels louder than peace, remember God knows how to reach you. Keep your heart open, your ears tuned, and your faith anchored in His steady love.

Today’s One Thing
If your thoughts feel heavy or anxious today, pause and play a worship song that reminds you of God’s peace. Let it speak truth louder than your fear.
