This annual Foster Care Awareness Month event brings together individuals, families, churches, and local organizations to honor foster families, raise awareness for children in care, and fund programs that provide stability, healing, and joy.
Participants can enjoy a 3.1-mile course with optional obstacles, or take a 1.5-mile shortcut. The day also features music, games, lawn activities, vendor booths, and opportunities for families and teams to participate together.
Foster families attend free of charge, receiving race t-shirts, special swag, and a free food item. Joy Run is more than a race—it’s a celebration of community, faith, and the individuals who support children in foster care.
All proceeds help Joy Meadows provide year-round programs, therapy, and housing support to children and families navigating the foster care system.
