Raised with Christ, Living with Purpose
Imagine standing in a strong wind, trying to keep your footing while voices press in from every direction. When opinions and expectations compete for your attention, God calls you back to what is unshakable—you have been raised with Christ.
Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
– Colossians 3:1 NLT
The believers in Colossae felt that same pressure. Influences swirled around them, tempting them to add human ideas to the finished work of Jesus. Paul called them back to center. He reminded them that they had been raised to a new life with Christ and they belonged to a higher reality.
You live in that same truth! When you placed your faith in Jesus, the Father gave you new life. Your old identity lost its authority. Your life is now with Christ, secure in Him. Jesus reigns as Lord of the universe. Your story is tied to His victory, and you are a child of God.
When you remember who you are in Christ, today’s choices take on eternal weight.
Eternal hope changes how you approach each day. Because you are new in Christ, you choose integrity, kindness, and love. You pursue faithfulness. You invest in people rather than possessions. You forgive more quickly because Christ has forgiven you. You pray with expectancy because the Holy Spirit lives within you, guiding and strengthening you.
Let eternal hope steady your steps today. Live like someone who belongs to a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Your life in Christ is secure, and your purpose is unfolding in His faithful hands.
Today’s One Thing
Ask yourself, does my mindset reflect who I am in Christ? Say out loud, “I am raised with Christ, rooted in His purpose, and I live today anchored in eternal hope.”
