Resurrection Life in the Middle of Brokenness
Longing for God to breathe life into your weariness is natural, especially when circumstances drain you. Resurrection life is not reserved for the end of the story. God delights in restoring what feels lifeless and providing hope.
This is what the Sovereign Lord says: “Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again!”
– Ezekiel 37:5 NLT
Picture yourself standing in that valley with Ezekiel—bones scattered, silence heavy, and hope stretched thin. You’ve stood in landscapes like this when life hit hard. You’ve watched relationships turn cold, dreams stall, and your faith grow tired. You’ve prayed over things that seem beyond repair and whispered, “Lord, help! Please, breathe again and restore life.”
God does not avoid valleys filled with loss. We face them because we live in a sinful world. But the Father speaks into them. He promises life even where decay has taken hold. He declares that His breath will return, that structure will form and that strength will come. Jesus fulfilled that promise through His resurrection, proving that death never has the final word. The Holy Spirit carries that same life-giving power into your present moment.
Where God breathes, lifeless places come alive.
The same Lord who promised breath to dry bones promises you renewal. His power does not shrink in the face of brokenness; His grace moves toward it. He calls you to speak life from His authority with faith anchored in Him. He uses our trials to shape endurance and maturity (James 1:2-4).
You are standing in a place where God brings revival. Keep believing. Keep speaking life. Keep watching for breath to return.
Today’s One Thing
Continue praying with hopeful expectation over the situations that feel lifeless, and affirm, “I trust God and walk forward with hope.”
