Will You Tell Someone about Jesus?

If you’ve never shared Jesus with someone, it can feel intimidating. But just like Jesus invited you to come as you were to Him, you can offer His invitation to others. You don’t need the perfect words or a vast knowledge of the Bible. God will help you tell your story as long as you are willing to share His love.“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes to you. Then you will be my witnesses to testify about me in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
—Acts 1:8 GW

Jesus said, “You will be my witnesses.” A witness simply tells what they’ve seen or experienced. If you’ve received His forgiveness, His strength, or His hope, you already have something to share.

Jesus asked you to witness to others by telling them what He’s done for you.

And Jesus promised to give you the power to proclaim it. He gave you the Holy Spirit—the One who helps you speak with courage and kindness.

Think about the man Jesus delivered from a legion of demons. After he was healed, he wanted to follow Jesus everywhere, But Jesus gave him something simple to do. Go home and tell what the Lord has done for you. That man’s story became a doorway for others to experience relationship with Jesus.

Sharing Christ can be as simple as saying, “I’ve been praying more lately. Can I pray for you?” Or, “I’m new to following Jesus, but I’ve found real peace.” God can use one sentence to turn the hearts of others toward Him.

All you have to do is show up, love well, and speak what’s true.
