Renewed through God’s Word

When you feel stretched thin, and need refreshment, God’s Word meets you with strength, truth, and a joy that restores you from the inside out.

And Nehemiah, who was the governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people said to all the people, “This day is holy to the Lord your God; do not mourn or weep.”
– Nehemiah 8:9 ESV

There’s something powerful about hearing the right words at the right moment. Hope begins to rise again. God designed His Word to meet you in that exact way—personal, timely, and life-giving.

Picture the scene in Nehemiah. The people gathered, desiring to hear God’s truth and promises. Ezra, a priest and scribe, read God’s Law with clarity, helping them understand what God was saying. As the truth was read, it settled in their hearts, stirring their emotions. Tears flowed as they recognized how far they had drifted. But then something unexpected followed—real, strengthening joy.

More than inform you, God’s Word transforms you, especially when you open His Word with a willing heart. God uses Scripture to remind you who you are and where you’re going. His promises revive your heart and perspective with grace and truth, lift all your burdens, and guide your thoughts.

God’s Word strengthens your soul.

Each time you dedicate yourself to reading God’s Word, He refreshes your spirit and reminds you that you’re not walking through life alone. His truth becomes your anchor, and His faithfulness becomes your anchor.

God’s Word breathes life back into you, one truth at a time.

Today’s One Thing
Spend ten intentional minutes reading scripture and ask God to reveal one truth that strengthens your heart today. If you don’t know where to start, begin in John 1:1. As you do this, affirm, “God’s Word renews my heart, strengthens my spirit, and fills me with lasting joy.”
