The Life He Came to Give
Jesus was direct about why He came. He gives life—full, real, and sourced entirely in Him. That offer is still open today.
“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
— John 10:10 NLT
Jesus warns of the enemy’s schemes. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Then He makes His own purpose equally plain, to give you a rich and satisfying life. The contrast is intentional. The enemy takes; Jesus gives.
Jesus offered His own life so you could experience yours full, present, and sourced in Him.
What does that look like on a real Tuesday? It’s Jesus showing up in a conversation you didn’t plan. It looks like peace that doesn’t match your circumstances. It’s the sense that Someone is with you and paying attention.
The disciples who walked closest to Jesus experienced Him. His presence changed what they believed was possible. When He left, He sent His Spirit because the relationship was always the point.
That life starts with one honest conversation—you, Him, and whatever is actually on your heart today.
Today’s One Thing
Today, skip the prayer list and just talk to Jesus like He is in the room, because He is. Tell Him where you actually are. Then pray: “Jesus, I want the life You came to give. Show me where You are today.”
