Hope for the Holidays: A Free Community Seminar

The holidays don’t have to be perfect to be deeply meaningful.

Saturday, November 14 | 9 AM–Noon
New Beginnings Church
4770 Montgomery Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109

For many people, the holiday season brings joy and anticipation. For others, it can bring grief, loneliness, family tensions, financial pressures, exhaustion, or disappointment.

New Beginnings Church invites the community to Hope for the Holidays, a free, three-hour seminar led by John Thurman, a licensed mental health professional, author, and experienced crisis response counselor.

Together, we’ll explore five practical, biblically grounded ways to navigate the season with greater hope and purpose:

Recognize what you’re carrying.

Reframe what you may need to release and receive.

Anchor your hope in God’s character and promises.

Practice simple ways of living from that hope.

Carry hope by encouraging others.

Whether you’re looking forward to the holidays or approaching them with mixed emotions, this seminar offers encouragement, practical tools, and a reminder that genuine hope doesn’t depend on perfect circumstances.

Free and open to everyone. All are welcome!
