A mother calls on God’s promises

Tonja, a single mom from Michigan, is a long-time listener of Family Life Radio. She tunes in most days as she’s driving in her car, running errands or carpooling her young children to their activities.Each time she tunes in, she grows in her walk with Jesus through the faith-filled music that soothes her soul, the Christ-centered teachings that fill her mind and the life changing testimonies that encourage her.

Storing away seeds of faith

There is a reason God calls us to “Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds” (Deuteronomy 11:18). He wants us to be able to call upon His promises, wisdom and comfort when we face trials. For Tonja, one such trial came last fall.

A tragic day that tested Tonja’s faith

“My oldest daughter went into respiratory arrest and almost died,” said Tonja. During this life-and-death moment, Tonja did not panic or go to a place of desperation. “I started thinking about all the things I’d heard onFamily Life Radio,” she said. “As I prayed, I kept telling myself, rely on God, ‘My grace is sufficient for thee’ (2 Corinthians12:9).

YOU helped Tonja turn to God in her time of need

As Tonja repeated God’s Word over and over in her head, she was enveloped by “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding”(Philippians 4:7).“My daughter ended up making a complete recovery,” she said. “It was a miracle and a testament to the power of prayer.”

Tonja says “Thank you” for making Family Life Radio possible

“This station can’t go away; it’s gotta be here!” she said. “I’m a single mom, just trying to make ends meet. But after the incident with my daughter, I started giving $20 a month.”
