Carrying Light in a World Heavy with Noise
“You have to protect the spiritual and emotional energy and fort of your house, because if you just take everything in and turn everything into your battle, it’s exhausting.” ~Jordan Phillips from Apollo LTD
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
– Proverbs 4:23 NIV
In the bustling current of life’s relentless stream, you might often find yourself adrift amidst the deluge of noise—endless streams of information, urgent news, and the everyday clamor of a world in constant motion. Yet within this tumult, there’s a whisper, a gentle invitation to find solace and strength in something—Someone—greater than the babble.
You have a haven, a sanctuary to protect. Today’s Scripture urges you to guard your heart. The wellspring of life, your heart, needs that discernment to know what to let in and what to leave at the door.
Lay down the heavy burdens that were never yours to carry and pick up His peace, which is light and easy to bear.
As you navigate the challenges and chaos, remember that not every call to arms is yours to answer. You are part of a greater body, with Christ as the head, orchestrating a symphony where not all are called to play the same part. It’s okay to step back, to discern, and to choose your battles with the wisdom that comes from above.
So today, let this be your moment of pause, a deliberate cessation of the endless doing, to simply ‘be’ in His presence. Here, in the quietude of His love, you can lay down the heavy burdens that were never yours to carry and pick up His peace, which is light and easy to bear.
Today’s One Thing
Confess: “Today, I choose peace over chaos, discernment over distraction. I am a bearer of light in a world heavy with noise, walking in the serene confidence that comes from my Savior.”
