Giving from the Heart
That joyful anticipation you feel during Christmas—the giving, the wrapping, the sharing—is a reflection of God’s heart. When you give freely and joyfully, you’re sharing the love He has ingrained in your heart.
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
– 2 Corinthians 9:7 NLT
God delights when your giving flows from a willing heart. Generosity grows from your gratitude. Every gift you give—your time, your kindness, or your resources— you’re really saying, “God, thank You for all You’ve done in my life.”
Every act of giving becomes worship, a visible expression of trust, faith, and love that mirrors the One who gave His Son for you.
As your family gathers this Christmas, your giving can shape faith in ways that last long after the lights fade and the decorations come down. When others see you give joyfully—helping a neighbor, supporting a family in need, or sharing a meal—they see love in action. Those simple, open-handed moments do more than mark the season; they plant seeds of lasting faith.
Every joyful gift echoes the heartbeat of God, who delights in cheerful givers.
When you give from the heart, you reveal God’s love and grace to others, especially to the recipient, which is so important. Giving without expecting anything in return creates joy that becomes part of your family’s story. It shapes the way you live, love, and celebrate.
Let your giving be more than a wrapped box under a tree. Let it rise as an offering of gratitude to God—a reflection of His endless love that first gave everything for you.
Today’s One Thing
Praise God for His generosity and say aloud, “I will give with joy and gratitude, reflecting His love in everything I share.”
