God Whispers His Word
Have you ever had God’s Word rise up in your heart for seemingly no reason at all? You’re just going about your day, and suddenly a Scripture flows into your heart. God whispers to you in that way to inspire, encourage and connect with you.
Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
─ Proverbs 4:23 NLT
The wisdom from Proverbs in the verse today encourages you to guard your heart. What you allow in determines how your life will go. So how do you guard your heart?
Hide God’s Word in your heart so that it speaks to you when you need it.
One answer is found where the psalmist said, “I treasure your word above all else; it keeps me from sinning against you” (Psalm 119:11 CEV). The psalmist deliberately put the truth of God’s Word into His heart and mind so that when he needed it, God could bring it back to His remembrance.
Hide God’s Word in your heart so that it speaks to you when you need it.
