God’s Strength for You, Mother

As a mother, you are intimately familiar with the dance of strength and vulnerability, of giving tirelessly and feeling the weight of responsibility. It’s a journey marked by unparalleled love and, at times, overshadowed by self-doubt and exhaustion. Yet, in the midst of it all, there’s a promise from God, a reminder that you are never alone in this sacred calling.

Like a shepherd, he will care for his flock, gathering the lambs in his arms, Hugging them as he carries them, leading the nursing ewes to good pasture.

– Isaiah 40:11 MSG

Isaiah 40:11 paints a picture of a God who is both mighty and tender, a Shepherd who carries His lambs close to His heart and gently leads those who care for the young. It’s a powerful image of how God views you and your role as a mother.

Your Father sees every effort, every tear and every laugh, and He is with you in each of them, strengthening you with His love.

You are not just navigating this journey with your strength; you are being carried and led by the One who knows the depth of your love, the breadth of your sacrifice and the height of your hopes for your children.

In those moments when you feel overwhelmed, remember that God’s strength is made perfect in your weakness. He is with you, gathering you and your little ones in His arms, leading you gently through each day. You have been given this role because God trusts you, believes in you, and loves you.

Today’s One Thing

Pray: “Dear Lord, thank you for entrusting me with the precious gift of my children. In moments of doubt and exhaustion, remind me that I am not alone. You are my strength and my guide, the gentle Shepherd who carries us close to Your heart. Help me to lean on You, to draw strength from Your endless love and grace. Give me wisdom to raise my children in Your love, and remind me that in Your eyes, I am enough. Amen.”
