Guided Steps to Follow
Have you ever felt a small nudge to call someone… to take a different route… or to pause before responding? Sometimes it’s subtle—so quiet it could be missed. Yet that inner tug often carries more wisdom than hours of deliberation. That’s the Holy Spirit, gently leading us in ways that aren’t always logical, but always loving.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
— Romans 8:14 NKJV
To be led by the Spirit starts with training your heart to listen. He leads us in moments both big and small. Sometimes it’s to protect, sometimes to bless, and often, to grow us in trust.
The more we listen, the more we recognize His voice. It’s often the stillness after prayer, the sense of peace that follows a difficult choice, or a conviction we can’t shake. The Spirit invites, rather than insists. His leading always aligns with Scripture, brings peace, and bears fruit.
When the Spirit nudges your heart—listen. He’s leading you with one gentle whisper at a time.
The early believers in Acts depended on the Spirit’s leading daily—where to go, whom to speak to, when to stay or move. When we respond to His promptings, we step into intentional moments that can only be found in Him.
A trusting relationship like that grows in the quiet, as we make room to hear and respond. Sometimes, the step He asks us to take is small. But over time, those small steps create a well-worn path of faith.
Today’s One Thing
Take 5–10 minutes of quiet today. Ask the Holy Spirit to make you aware of His promptings. Write down anything you sense—no matter how small—and commit to responding to that nudge with trust.
