Yes, you have been with me from birth; from my mother’s womb you have cared for me. No wonder I am always praising you!

His Steadfast Presence
Pause for a moment and think about this: The Lord’s concern for you didn’t begin on the day you were born and won’t conclude on the day you die. Your existence is eternal. His love for you reaches back before you were born and far ahead into eternity with Him.
The Psalmist is rejoicing in today’s verse, proclaiming the Lord’s loving affection demonstrated through His steadfast presence in his life. You can do the same because, as a child of God, He looks after you with that same love and dedication to never leave you or forsake you.
The Lord was with you before your birth and will be with you long after the earth ends or you die physically. He has watched over you and cared for you from a scraped knee to a serious life threatening incident. He is with you now, ready to stand for you no matter what challenge comes your way.
Today’s One Thing
In your quiet time today, reread the Psalmist words from today’s verse as your own. Think about the different times in your life when you felt God’s presence in a special way. Maybe He rescued you from a difficult situation, protected you from a bad situation or assured you in a stressful time. Give Him praise and thank Him for being with you.
