Let Love Be Your Answer

“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

— ESV 31-12:30 Mark

Let Love Be Your Answer

With the struggles we face today individually and as a nation, it’s important to choose each day to demonstrate the character of Christ to others and seek to bring healing to our community and our nation.

As we live our lives in the calm, finding joy and peace in all the chaos because we are children of God, others will be drawn to the peace we demonstrate through our relationships. It will compel them to want to know where our peace comes from. And the door opens for us to share God with them.

The answers for our world and our country are found in the Word of God. Our verse today holds the two greatest commandments. These words spoken by Jesus are the answer to life’s problems, especially in these difficult times.

And how do we demonstrate His love?

  • Choose to be kind.
  • Do good to others.
  • Leave a little extra tip.
  • Smile at those God brings across your path.
  • Pray for others.
  • Refuse to participate in negative conversations.
  • Lend a listening ear.

Your acts of loving kindness in your community can make all the difference to a hurting world.

Today’s One Thing
