Make My Faith Real
“I need to stay connected to Jesus. I need to stay connected to the people of Jesus and not isolate myself.” ~ Hannah McClure
And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
– Hebrews 10:25 NLT
You might be feeling the weight of isolation, whether it’s from differing opinions, life circumstances, or even your own choices. It’s in these moments that the words of Hebrews 10:25 come to life. Staying connected to Jesus and His people isn’t just a good idea; it’s a lifeline for your soul.
Connection is vital to our emotional well-being and spiritual health. When you’re connected, you’re plugged into a source of strength, wisdom, and love that goes beyond anything this world can offer. You’re part of a body, a family, that lifts you up when you’re down, that prays for you when you’re struggling, and that celebrates with you in your victories.
Staying connected to Jesus and His people is a lifeline for your soul.
So, how do you stay connected in a world that often seems designed to pull you apart?
- Start by making time for Jesus.
- Dive into His Word.
- Spend time in prayer.
- And listen for His voice.
- Then, extend that connection to others. Reach out to a friend, join a small group, or simply make it a point to be present in your community of believers.
You’re not just an observer in this journey of faith; you’re an active participant. Your presence matters, not just to Jesus but to the people around you.
You are called to more than just filling a seat in a church; but living your purpose in the body of Christ that only you can fill.
Today’s One Thing
Pray: “Lord Jesus, thank You for being my constant source of strength and love. I confess that I’ve allowed the world, my circumstances, and even my own choices to isolate me from You and from others. I choose today to stay connected, to draw near to You and to Your people. Help me to be a source of encouragement and love, just as I have received from You. Amen.”
