One Step at a Time
God’s truth gives us the strength to keep going—especially when the road ahead is uncertain. His Word lights the way, one faithful step at a time.
Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me.
— Psalm 119:133 NKJV
There is strength in simply moving forward. Even when the future feels fragile, even when your heart is breaking—taking the next step in faith is an act of courage. And God honors it.
One listener recently shared her story—a powerful reminder of the sustaining grace of Christ during life’s hardest transitions. “We’re moving to Missouri. My husband said, ‘Move or divorce” after 25 years and seven kids. I’m closing my business. I’m still in COVID debt. It’s been a rough six months.”
Everything she’s known seems to be unraveling. And yet, in the middle of it all, she says the most powerful thing: “Christ has kept me putting one foot in front of the other.”
Trust God in His faithfulness to move you forward, one step at a time.
That’s the kind of faith that holds on. The kind that walks through grief with grace. For the hope that’s found in the person of Jesus Psalm 119:133 gives us a prayer for moments just like this. “Direct my steps by Your word…”
God’s Word becomes our guide when the road twists. His truth gives clarity when emotions blur. He doesn’t ask us to figure out everything at once—He simply invites us to follow Him forward.
God’s truth is our foundation, and even when the world shakes, His presence is steady. You may not know what the next month holds. But today, you have everything you need to take the next step—with Jesus beside you.
Today’s One Thing
