Peace on Earth—And in You
God’s peace comes with the steady assurance of His presence. This Christmas, let His peace quiet your heart and fill every part of your life with calm and confidence.
Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.
– Luke 2:14 NIV
The night sky over Bethlehem broke open with angelic praise. Jesus’ birth declared that heaven’s peace had entered the world—peace that restores what feels broken and brings calm into every storm.
The Hebrew word shalom means wholeness in body, mind, and spirit—a life aligned with God’s presence. Jesus, the Prince of Peace, came to reconcile humanity with God so you can experience peace within, peace with others, and peace in life’s challenges.
The peace of Christ steadies your heart and reminds you that you are never alone.
Picture the shepherds beneath the night sky, faithfully doing their work. In a moment, heaven’s glory filled their night with light and song. That same peace still breaks into ordinary moments today—meeting you in the middle of busy schedules, strained relationships, and restless thoughts.
When you rest in Jesus, His peace roots you in love, guards your heart, and renews your strength. Every part of your life—your fears, your longings, your hidden battles—can find rest in His care.
God invites you to receive His peace that endures, because it flows from the One who never changes.
Today’s One Thing
Take a moment to pray, “Prince of Peace, fill my heart with Your presence. Quiet my anxious thoughts and help me rest in the wholeness You give. Amen.”
