Put Your Gifts Where the Miracles Are

God invites us to place our gifts, talents, and finances into His hands for His miraculous work. When we do so, not only do we witness the extraordinary, but we also become part of it.

Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you.

– 1 Timothy 4:14 ESV

It’s easy to feel like we need to protect what we have fiercely. But the Bible encourages us to view our gifts and resources differently. God has endowed each of us with unique talents and resources—not just for our benefit—but for His glory and purposes.

By investing in God’s work, we open the door to miracles and become co-laborers in His kingdom.

Paul reminds Timothy in our verse today not to neglect his gift. His words are a powerful message for us today. Our talents, finances, and abilities are tools God can use to bring about miracles. When we invest these resources into His kingdom, we don’t lose them; rather, we multiply their impact.

Consider the boy with five loaves and two fish in John 6:9-13. When he offered his small lunch to Jesus, it fed thousands. Imagine what can happen when we offer our seemingly small gifts to God. He takes what we give, multiplies it, and uses it to bless others in ways we can’t even imagine.

Ask yourself where you can invest your gifts, talents, or finances in God’s work. It could be supporting a missionary, volunteering your skills at a local ministry, or helping a neighbor in need. Trust that God will use your offering to bring about His miraculous plans.

Today’s One Thing

Pray: “Lord, thank You for the gifts and resources You have entrusted to me. Help me to see opportunities to use them for Your glory. Give me the courage to invest in Your kingdom, knowing that You will bring about miracles through my obedience. May my life be a testament to Your faithfulness and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
