Renewal in God’s Presence
Time with a good friend always leaves you better than before. You trade stories, share concerns, and most importantly, you listen to each other. When you slow down long enough to sit with God, you discover a rest that realigns your soul and renews your strength from the inside out.
“My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
– Exodus 33:14 ESV
A quiet moment can feel like a deep breath for your soul, especially when life has been moving at a relentless pace. You carry responsibilities, decisions, and expectations that seem to pile up. God offers His presence, steady and personal, draws you close, to settle your heart and meet you right where you are.
Moses stood in the gap for an entire nation, navigating uncertainty and pressure. Can you imagine his daily task list? Yet Moses’ desire to be near God set him apart from others. In that sacred space at Mount Sinai, God met him and gave him a promise of rest that reached deep within him.
God the Father wants to spend one-on-one time with you to refresh your soul and give you real rest. Jesus opens the way for you to come to the Father freely, reminding you that you are always welcome, regardless of your circumstances.
God’s presence restores you and gives peace.
Place God above your to-do list and accept His invitation to spend some alone time with Him. Your time together will renew you, and His nearness will open your eyes to see Him in a new light.
God’s presence resets your soul in ways nothing else can. You walk away renewed, strengthened, and reminded that you were never meant to do life apart from Him.
Today’s One Thing
Intentionally spend one-on-one time with God today, alone, without any distractions. Throughout the day, affirm, “I am renewed in God’s presence; His nearness brings rest, restores my soul, and strengthens me.”
