Walking Together in Wisdom
God places people in your life who carry wisdom you haven’t yet received. Is your heart open to hear what they bring?
When Priscilla and Aquila heard him preaching boldly in the synagogue, they took him aside and explained the way of God even more accurately.
— Acts 18:26 NLT
Fresh insight can arrive in the middle of an ordinary conversation. You have probably experienced it—a word spoken after church, or around a dinner table that stayed with you all week. Spiritual growth deepens when you stay open to learning and test what you hear against God’s Word.
Apollos carried passion, knowledge, and boldness when he spoke about God. He knew the Scriptures and had been taught about Jesus, though his understanding was incomplete. His passion captivated people’s attention because he communicated with conviction and sincerity. Aquila and Priscilla could see his love for God and his desire to teach people well. Because of godly wisdom, they gently helped him understand Jesus more clearly, and that wisdom strengthened him to spread the gospel.
Like Apollos, you can see how God uses trusted individuals to speak godly truth into your life. The Holy Spirit teaches through faithful friendships, wise mentors, pastors, family members, and believers who lovingly point you toward truth and understanding.
Humility opens what pride keeps closed, and wisdom finds a way in.
You can serve faithfully and love God deeply, and still have room to grow. Wisdom expands when you value correction as much as you value encouragement.
Keep your heart humble and teachable. God honors that posture, and He often places the right voices around you at the right time. Every faithful conversation can become part of your spiritual growth story.
Today’s One Thing
Ask God to bring trusted friends to share wisdom for your spiritual growth, and while patiently waiting, declare, “I welcome God’s wisdom with a teachable heart, and I grow stronger through the people He places in my life.”
