“What’s Next?” with Colton Dixon

When Christian music singer and songwriter, Colton Dixon found himself without a record label in early 2020, he felt like he’d been fired. But his wife Annie’s perspective made a huge difference in his perspective.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Annie asked Colton, “What if this isn’t a setback? What if this is actually God setting you up for what’s next?”

As they took that to heart, Colton says, “We watched that totally take fruition as we chose to have faith and not fear, and it was beautiful.” 

God has a plan even when you can’t see it yet.

God can work by faith, but fear is the opposite of faith. When you come to God with faith and speak about the struggle you find yourself in from a place of faith, you set things in motion for God to work all things for your good. 

That’s what Colton chose to do. He and Annie started praying and trusting God for His plan. And eventually he signed with a new record label.

When you don’t know what the future looks like, you can trust that God’s timing is always good. He has a plan even when you can’t see it yet.

Look at your situation today. What is fear saying? What does your faith and God say, according to His Word? Choose to say and declare what God is saying. Remind yourself as you speak with Him in your quiet time today.
