When Life Shifts
Perhaps you long for your life to beat at a steady rhythm, a predictable hum of daily routines and responsibilities. Yet, despite our best efforts to create stability, life seldom offers us a business-as-usual experience. Life is in a constant state of flux, demanding our adaptability and faith.
Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
– Isaiah 43:19 NKJV
Whether it’s a sudden change in our job, an unexpected financial challenge, or the emotional upheavals that accompany relationships, these unexpected and uninvited disruptions remind us that life is anything but usual.
Unsettling moments can shake the foundations of our carefully crafted plans. But in these very moments, we have the opportunity to deepen our trust in God and lean on His wisdom rather than our own understanding.
You can embrace the unexpected with faith, knowing that God’s plans for you are good, even when the path seems uncertain.
When life shifts, it’s a call to remember:
- Our identity and security are not found in our job titles or paychecks but in Christ alone.
- Financial strains invite us to experience God’s provision in ways we might not have noticed in times of abundance.
- Relationships teach us about grace, forgiveness, and the unconditional love God extends to us.
In every single area of our lives, God is at work, molding us, and drawing us closer to Him. He uses life’s unpredictability to build our character, deepen our faith, and remind us that our ultimate reliance should forever be on Him.
Today’s One Thing
What current challenge are you facing? Ask God to show you how He is working through this situation to strengthen your faith and draw you nearer to Him. Write down any insights or scriptures that come to mind and revisit them throughout the week as a source of encouragement.
