Who Follows Your Example?

One of the reasons the Hebrews (God’s people of the Old Testament), and the Jews (as they are referred to today) are so successful in their religious training is because they invite God into their everyday life. Their study of God’s truth focuses on applying His principles to how they live life instead of just knowing what God’s commands are. They use day-to-day life events to learn and grow in their relationship with Him.

“Lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul … talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”

─ Deuteronomy 11:18-19 ESV

It’s not enough to know God’s truths from an informational standpoint, but we need to experience His truths personally in all the areas of life, from the spectacular to the mundane. He desires to be included in everything you do and all that you are.

Invite God to be a part of your everyday experiences.

The command to store God’s Word in your heart and soul, to talk about them when you sit, walk, lie down and rise, means your life points everyone and everything to Him. Inviting God to become part of your everyday experiences helps you relate to His Word continually.

He desires for you to live each moment fully surrendered to loving Him, thinking about His promises and truths, following the guidelines He has set before you.
