Celebrate the Classics with the 35th Annual Copperstate 1000

The 35th annual Bell Lexus North Scottsdale Copperstate 1000, presented by the Men’s Arts Council, returns to Arizona, April 5-9, 2025. It is one of North America’s most celebrated vintage car road rallies, showcasing some of the finest working examples of vintage, sports, racing, classic, and grand touring automobiles manufactured before the 1974 model year.
“Each year, we see some of the world’s most unique cars take part in this exciting event,” said
Scott McPherson, Copperstate 1000 Chairman and Men’s Art Council member. “We’re thrilled to continue this tradition in 2025, bringing together car enthusiasts and participants of all ages in our community. We invite everyone to join us on Sunday, April 6, to admire the incredible cars, chat with the drivers, and cheer them off on the Rally.”
The public and fans of all ages can view the cars participating in the Copperstate 1000 before they depart for their journey at the Copperstate send-off event. It will take place at Tempe Diablo Stadium, located at 2200 W. Alameda Drive in Tempe, on Sunday, April 6 beginning at 7:30 a.m. where the vehicles are lined up around the outfield and announced as they begin to depart at 10:00 a.m.
There will also be a local car show in the West lot of the stadium from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. Local car enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their cars for display in the West lot. Coffee and donuts will also be available for purchase in the West parking lot.
In honor of the 35th anniversary, the 2025 Copperstate 1000 will add thrilling new routes, taking drivers through diverse landscapes to discover hidden scenic gems that enhance the journey already known for crossing beautiful desert terrains, river verdant valley, and alpine landscapes across Arizona and beyond.
This year, 80 vintage automobiles made the journey, with drivers and navigators from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. The connections created at these rallies often blossom into lifetime friendships, many attendees come back year after year.The lineup of cars included 19 Porsches, 15 Ferrari’s, 12 Jaguars, 4 Aston Martins and various American muscle cars. The lightest car is a 1965 Griffith that weighs only 1800 pounds in contrast to the oldest car, a 1929 Bentley that has long term ownership and weighs 4800 pounds.
“The Copperstate 1000 is one of the most unique events in town,” said Bell Lexus North Scottsdale. “The route is always different, and the Men’s Art Council puts a lot of time and effort into making this one of the best car events in the country. It’s fun to network, mingle and meet new friends along the way.”
Bell Lexus North Scottsdale has been the title sponsor of the Copperstate 1000 for over 20 years and plays an intricate role in the rally’s success. The luxury car dealer lends the special event five brand new vehicles in the event that a rally car is not able to finish.
“This is the biggest and best free to attend car show in the state,” added McPherson.
