Community Care Day at Trinity Lutheran Church (Jackson, MI)

FreeBack-to-school preparations will be a little easier for area families this year thanks to an upcoming Community Care Day at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Co-hosted with Redeemer Lutheran Church, the free event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, August 19 at Trinity, 122 W. Wesley St., downtown Jackson.
Kicking off Community Care Day will be a pancake breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Afterward, volunteers will be on hand to distribute school supplies, hygiene kits, and socks and underwear. Complimentary haircuts will also be available, as well as a variety of children’s activities.
Trinity and Redeemer have a long history of giving back to the Jackson-area community. In addition to Community Care Day, the two churches collaborate on a monthly food pantry, also held at Trinity. To learn more about either of these outreach efforts, visit tlmjackson.com and redeemerjackson.org.
