SCOTTSDALE, AZ — North Scottsdale United Methodist Church (NSUMC) invites families, friends, and neighbors to a spook-tacular evening of fun at Movie Night Under the Stars on Friday, October 24th at 7 PM.

This year’s feature is extra special—we’re celebrating the silver anniversary of a heartwarming classic about a gentle little spirit who just wants to make friends. It’s a perfect mix of sweet, funny, and just a hint of spooky—ideal for the season without the scares! Families are encouraged to dress up in friendly Halloween costumes and come ready for a night of fellowship and fun under the Scottsdale sky.

The church will provide free buttery popcorn, refreshing water bottles, and trick-or-treat goodie bags for the kids. All you need are your lawn chairs, blankets, or strollers to settle in and enjoy this milestone family-friendly outdoor movie.

“This event is one of our favorite ways to bring the community together,” said Rev. Leah Bergstrom. “Marking the 25th anniversary of this beloved film makes the night even more meaningful—it’s about celebrating laughter, fall holidays, and the joy of community.”
