JACKSON MICHIGAN—While there’s some debate among the faithful of Trinity Lutheran Church just when the parish started hosting harvest dinners, the popularity of the annual feast is indisputable.
This year’s dinner will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the fellowship hall of the church, 122 W. Wesley St.
The meal will feature the traditional fare of roasted pork and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade applesauce, green beans, fresh-baked pie and beverages.
Cost is $12 for adults, $6 for children ages 5 to 11, and free for children under 5. Takeout will be available.
In addition to dinner, Christian books, craft items and boxed greeting cards will be for sale.
Trinity is affiliated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The parish has a 150-year history of serving the community of Jackson and supporting mission work around the world.
