Pancake Supper
February 17th is Shrove Tuesday, the day when traditionally cooks got rid of their “fancy” foods like cakes, cookies, yeast-filled items, etc., because the next day—Ash Wednesday—began the season of Lent and none of that was allowed. It’s now become a tradition in some churches to serve a pancake supper on Shrove Tuesday to mark the old tradition. Come on over to Trinity Episcopal Church where we will celebrate Shrove Tuesday with pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit and a beverage—all for $7.00!!
