Following this inspirational performance\, the community is invited to join them for a delightful Hot Cocoa Bar reception in the fellowship hall. The reception will offer hot cocoa with all the trimmings and include a “make & take ornament” station. This event is free and open to the public. \n“The Christmas Light” beautifully captures the journey from the hopeful darkness of early Advent to the radiant birth of Christ\, fulfilling God’s promise. This superb cantata subtitled “A Masterwork Cantata for Christmas\,” features choruses inspired by the works of J.M. Haydn\, Mendelssohn\, Mozart\, Praetorius\, and Schubert\, along with Christmas carol melodies from Gruber\, Handel\, Mendelssohn\, and Wade. The performance includes narration and biblical passages. \nAfter the performance\, NSUMC will host a Hot Cocoa Bar featuring hot cocoa\, sweet garnishes\, and Christmas pastries. As a special touch\, they will have “To-Go” hot cocoa ornaments and holiday cards for everyone to take home and share with loved ones.
