Welke’s work tells the story of the 423rd Regiment of the 106th Infantry Division as experienced by the men themselves\, offering readers a vivid and personal look at the realities of war and captivity. \nThis is a rare opportunity to hear directly from those who lived through some of the most pivotal moments in modern history.
