We’re having a wide variety of desserts from around the world\, baked and donated by some of our friends in the community\, and we’re so excited to try them! \nProceeds from this event benefit homeless\, pregnant women in the Lansing community. Hannah’s House houses four women at a time\, offering educational opportunities\, parenting training\, emotional support\, and spiritual guidance. We encourage each woman to develop the skills needed to independently support herself and her baby. Hannah’s House also provides resources like diapers and baby clothes to other families in need in our community\, but this is only possible with your help. DESCRIPTION:Mt. Pleasant faith leaders invite the public to a community interfaith prayer vigil October 10\, at 7:00 p.m. at the Mt. Pleasant Town Center on the corner of Main and Broadway streets. Titled Community Interfaith Vigil for Humanity – To Recognize and Rekindle the Sacred Light in One Another Amidst the Chaos and Darkness\, the vigil is designed to find common ground and provide comfort to people who may be hurting. A group of Mt. Pleasant faith leaders\, including St. John’s Episcopal Church\, First Presbyterian Church and Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Central Michigan and Indivisible Central Michigan planned the prayer vigil in light of many people hurting in our country and throughout the world. They saw a need to find common ground and come together to show a collective humanity and lift up those experiencing difficult times\, to show that all are loved and worthy.
