While playing quarterback for the Red Raiders\, Cody lead the team to a 9-3 record in 2005. Launched in 2024 by Boom Ministries\, the vision of Rock the Hill is to be a light for Christ in our communities and beyond. We are called to be a city on a hill that cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14). Rock the Hill is a night of worship and community for all ages\, music styles\, and denominations. We believe that worship ushers in God’s presence and that it changes every aspect of our lives. Ephesians six tells us that our battle isn’t against flesh and blood but a spiritual battle. So as we worship\, we help spread the light of Christ through out the city and the nations.

DESCRIPTION:Join Family Life Radio 88.1  FM and Buckner as we together with you-are giving hope to children throughout the world by collecting shoes through the Midland Community Shoe Drive June 2 – June 27\, 2025. \n\n\nWhy shoes\, though?\n\n\n\nA new pair of shoes puts children on a path to health. \nIn many developing countries\, children have to walk barefoot in muddy\, rocky terrain for clean water or to attend school. With bare feet\, parasites and diseases like hookworm\, jiggers and tetanus can enter the body through cuts in the feet. These illnesses can stunt a child’s growth and development physically\, but also cause lifelong mental damage. \nShoes can protect against disease and infection. \n\n\n\nA new pair of shoes removes the barrier to education.\n\nMost schools require children to wear shoes to attend but for many poverty-stricken families\, shoes are a luxury they can’t afford. Studies show higher attendance in school increases children’s chances of obtaining an education – and rising out of poverty. \nA new pair of shoes shines hope. \nShoes demonstrate worth and God’s love to vulnerable children. Typically\, children in orphanages share everything – it’s not common for them to have a single possession of their own. New shoes provide hope for these children and the truth they are loved and cared for. \n\n\n\n\nA new pair of shoes creates opportunity. \nShoes connect families to holistic Buckner ministries.
