DESCRIPTION:The 94th Old Athens Fiddlers Reunion & Contest is set for Friday and Saturday\, April 18th and 19th. \nFriday night will be a street dance from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm with Jody Nix and his Texas Cowboys\, a master at fiddling and western swing music. There will also be a Classic Car Show on Saturday from 10am to 2pm on the Bacon Car Ranch parking lot two blocks from the square so come look at some beautifully restored vintage cars. \nSaturday’s fiddle contest will run from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm inside the Texan Theater. After the contest there will be a Saturday night street dance with Texas treasure The Craig Howell Band from 7:00 pm to 10:000 pm down on the square. Grab your chair and come early to save your spot as they always fill the dance floor on every song wherever they play. \nThe\, all ages\, fiddle contest will be broken down into seven divisions with more than $7\,500 in prize money at stake\, so get to The Texan Theater early to get your favorite chair and get ready for some great music. There will be wonderful food vendors around the square\, so we have everything you need for a great day! \nThe St Edwards Academy Kiddie Carnival will be joining the festivities on West Tyler Street beside the Henderson County Annex from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. \nWant to make a weekend out of it?
