DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Palm Sunday @ North Scottsdale United Methodist Church \nNorth Scottsdale United Methodist Church invites the community to join them on Palm Sunday to celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Wave palms in a joyful procession and lift your heart to the vibrant sounds of our Children’s Kid’s of Grace Choir and the adult Hand Bell Choir. As they journey together into Holy Week\, this service invites us to step into the story of Christ’s love and courage\, preparing our hearts for the mystery of the cross and the promise of resurrection. \nThe Service will begin at 10am with the children’s procession of palms\, followed by the voices of our Children’s Kid’s of Grace choir and Hand bell choir. The service will continue with a compelling sermon about the story of Jesus’ triumphant ride into Jerusalem.  \nRight after our Palm Sunday Service @ 11 AM\, families are invited to join us for Communion #101—a fun\, interactive way to explore the meaning of Communion together! \nDuring Maundy Thursday and Good Friday\, we remember the Last Supper\, where Jesus shared this sacred meal with his disciples. DESCRIPTION:Trinity would like to invite everyone to the Music of Holy Week presented by Exultate Deo on Palm Sunday\, April 13th at 4:00 pm at Trinity\, Center at Grant\, Bay City. The concert traces Christ’s journey from his entrance into Jerusalem on a donkey to his crucifixion on Good Friday to his glorious resurrection on Easter Sunday. The audience will get a chance to sing some of the familiar hymns including “Jesus Christ is Risen Today”. There will be some readings and some glorious music. A free will offering will be taken and a reception will follow. \nExultate Deo is a group of musicians from the Great Lakes Bay region who love to sing. Founded by the late Robert Sabourin the choir performs at least 3 times a year at Christmas and Easter and the Bay Area Fireworks festival. Our conductor is Rayechel Berger and our accompanist is Patrick Winningham.

DESCRIPTION:The 94th Old Athens Fiddlers Reunion & Contest is set for Friday and Saturday\, April 18th and 19th. \nFriday night will be a street dance from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm with Jody Nix and his Texas Cowboys\, a master at fiddling and western swing music. There will also be a Classic Car Show on Saturday from 10am to 2pm on the Bacon Car Ranch parking lot two blocks from the square so come look at some beautifully restored vintage cars. \nSaturday’s fiddle contest will run from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm inside the Texan Theater. After the contest there will be a Saturday night street dance with Texas treasure The Craig Howell Band from 7:00 pm to 10:000 pm down on the square. Grab your chair and come early to save your spot as they always fill the dance floor on every song wherever they play. \nThe\, all ages\, fiddle contest will be broken down into seven divisions with more than $7\,500 in prize money at stake\, so get to The Texan Theater early to get your favorite chair and get ready for some great music.
