On that day cooks would use up all the rich fatty foods in the kitchen in preparation for the solemn season of Lent. Each team’s chili recipe must incorporate one of Walter Station Brewery’s craft brews. \n“Hosting this event in our historic firehouse is a tribute to the brave men and women who serve our community\,” said Co-Founder of Walter Station Jim Erickson. “Since beginning our relationship with the Arizona Fire School\, we have become even more committed to fire professionals and we’re excited to bring together firefighters and the public for a day of friendly competition\, great food\, and community spirit.” \nEntertainment will be provided by the Fast 86ers\, an all-firefighter band\, adding to the day’s festivities.
