(Mentally Ill Kids In Distress) is an Arizona 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the mental and behavioral health of children and youth through a family-centered approach. More than 80% of M.I.K.I.D.’s staff and 51% of the board have lived experience with a behavioral health challenge in their own families. M.I.K.I.D. provides support for parents on navigating the systems of care and helps children\, teens\, and youth ages birth to 25\, learn to cope with their challenges and develop into stable\, self-sufficient\, and successful adults.
