DESCRIPTION:The day begins with our 11am worship service\, immediately followed by a free hot dog lunch until supplies run out. Live performances from Larry Grainger and the Revelation Band\, Curtis Williams\, and Leah Pettis. Bring your lawn chairs and. if desired\, shade (we will have a few shaded areas available). The children can slash around in water inflatables by Slippery Frog Entertainment\, and\, adults\, we have games for you\, too! Ice cream available for purchase from Bree Freeze Ice Cream Truck. We will have free water available\, otherwise you are welcome to bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. We are collecting new packages of children’s underwear and socks for distribution at nearby schools.

Their incredible journey of faith and family—featured in the recent film Unsung Hero—has inspired audiences across the world. Read below for more information about the evening and their family. \nAbout the evening:\nOur culture wants us to think that we can do whatever we want so long as it doesn’t hurt anyone. Slogans such as Nike’s ‘Just do it’ have conditioned us to think about the now\, and what we want without regard to others. But how we live our life matters. The choices we make each impact those around us. They impact our family\, our friends\, and others in our community. The legacy you leave behind is important. \nAbout the Smallbones:\nDavid and Helen Smallbone came to America from Australia in 1991\, with their six children in tow and one on the way\, after a financial crisis in their homeland sent them looking for a new beginning. They are speakers\, advocates of Jesus and the local church\, and parents cheering on their seven children- three of which are four-time Grammy award winning artists: Joel and Luke Smallbone of FOR KING + COUNTRY\, and Rebecca St. James. \nDavid is a lifelong veteran of the music industry and currently manages FOR KING + COUNTRY. Helen is an author\, podcaster\, and the co-founder of MUMlife\, a ministry of “mothers uplifting mothers” and encouraging women in motherhood. UNSUNG HERO\, a Lionsgate film depicting the trials and triumphs of the Smallbone family’s journey to the USA\, released to theaters nationwide in April 2024. They currently reside in Nashville\, Tennessee where they spend their time chasing grandchildren and looking after a small menagerie of farm animals.
