The choices we make each impact those around us. They impact our family\, our friends\, and others in our community. The legacy you leave behind is important. \nAbout the Smallbones:\nDavid and Helen Smallbone came to America from Australia in 1991\, with their six children in tow and one on the way\, after a financial crisis in their homeland sent them looking for a new beginning. They are speakers\, advocates of Jesus and the local church\, and parents cheering on their seven children- three of which are four-time Grammy award winning artists: Joel and Luke Smallbone of FOR KING + COUNTRY\, and Rebecca St. James. \nDavid is a lifelong veteran of the music industry and currently manages FOR KING + COUNTRY. Helen is an author\, podcaster\, and the co-founder of MUMlife\, a ministry of “mothers uplifting mothers” and encouraging women in motherhood. UNSUNG HERO\, a Lionsgate film depicting the trials and triumphs of the Smallbone family’s journey to the USA\, released to theaters nationwide in April 2024. They currently reside in Nashville\, Tennessee where they spend their time chasing grandchildren and looking after a small menagerie of farm animals.

Monica Villalobos\, president of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce\, is emceeing the event\, and Jerry Ruiz\, Associate Professor at ASU’s School of Music\, Dance\, and Theatre is directing the reading. A one-of-a-kind award crafted by notable Phoenix artist Zarco Guerrero will be presented to Sánchez during the festival. Other partners include Xico and Arizona Mexico Commission. \nLottery Boy features a life transformed by money. At just 15 years old\, Paco suddenly finds himself the winner of one of the largest lottery jackpots ever. But more money means more problems\, more betrayals\, and Paco finds that he is no longer sure which world he belongs in. He goes through the highest highs and the lowest lows as he realizes the only person he trusts isn’t really there.
