SUMMARY:Men of Music Christmas Concert
DESCRIPTION:The Men of Music’s annual Christmas concert will be held at 2 & 7pm on Sunday\, December 7\, with Memorial Presbyterian Church at 1310 Ashman Street in Midland serving as the host. A freewill offering taken during this free community concert will benefit the Midland County Food Assistance Network. No ticket required. \nThe “Men of Music” chorus has been singing in the Midland\, Michigan\, area since 1936 (originally known as the Dow Male Chorus). The current membership consists of over 50 men. Our director is Grace Marra\, and our accompanist is Joan Kinnett. In the last 20 years\, over $67\,000 has been raised for the Food Assistance Network. Well over $100\,000 has been raised over the years for local charities.

North Scottsdale United Methodist Church invites families to our annual Advent celebration\, “Come Prepare\,” on Sunday\, December 7th\, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 11735 North Scottsdale Road\, Scottsdale\, AZ\, 85254. \nThis event is all about creating your own Advent wreaths and Christmas crafts without the stress or cleanup. Families can make beautiful wreaths and festive decorations in a fun\, hands-on environment\, then take them home ready to display—no glue-sticky counters or glitter-covered floors required! \nAnd because crafting is more fun with treats\, the hot cocoa bar and holiday sweets table will be open all morning. Enjoy whipped cream\, marshmallows\, sprinkles\, candy canes\, cookies\, chocolates\, and other seasonal goodies while your kids craft\, or while you relax and soak in the holiday spirit. \nThe Advent wreath itself has a rich history. First popularized in 16th-century Germany\, the evergreen circle symbolizes eternal life\, and the four candles mark the weeks of Advent—hope\, peace\, joy\, and love. By making your own wreath at NSUMC\, families carry this meaningful tradition home—without the stress of cleanup. \nPastor Leah Bergstrom says\, “We want families to experience the joy of Advent\, without the chaos that often comes with holiday crafts at home.
