SUMMARY:15th Annual Adopt a Family for Christmas
DESCRIPTION:For the past 15 years Grandparents On The Move Inc (GOTMO) has been helping low-income grandparents and caregivers to provide their children with a Christmas that every child deserves. Coats\, boots and socks are the #1 items that are needed for both children and their guardians. We believe that providing children with some Christmas wish items are just what is needed to make their Christmas complete. Each year the number of families we help continues to grow. Last year for 2022 with the help from The Detroit Free Press\, Toys for Tots\, Variety Kids\, Target\, Firekeepers\, and the wonderful community members we were able to provide 92 children with an unforgettable Christmas. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we will not host our annual Christmas Celebration\, but we will still provide as many children as we can with gifts for Christmas. The location will be determined at a later date\, but your help is needed to make this possible again. \nSponsors\, volunteers\, monetary and in-kind donations are needed to help make GOTMO Kids for Christmas 2023 a success.

DESCRIPTION:The Ladies’ Society of Immanuel Lutheran Church\, Wheeler\, will host its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday\, December 2\, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. It will be held in Immanuel’s parish hall located at the corner of M-46 and Woodbridge Road between Breckenridge and Merrill at 10020 East Monroe Road\, Wheeler\, MI 48662. A scrumptious “Cookie Walk” will feature a large variety of decorated Christmas and specialty cookies available at $7.00 per dozen\, mix or match. Other homemade baked goods and many flavors of Christmas hard candy will also be available. Many unique handmade craft and stitchery items for Christmas and year-round gifts will be offered. Several crafters and vendors will help to fill the parish hall with a more varied assortment of handmade crafts and products. Proceeds from the bazaar will be used for missions\, church improvements and charitable donations. The public is welcome\, and there is no admission charge.
