SUMMARY:Equally Yoked Christian Singles Pickleball Tuesdays - Westland
DESCRIPTION:Join other Christian singles for pickleball and fellowship this summer for the game that’s all the rage! We will play weekly on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. from June through August. All levels are welcome! \nParticipation in this fellowship event is not limited to a specific age range. You are not required to be a member of a particular church or denomination\, though we ask attendees are a part of a church to be plugged into a faith community. \nTo start\, we’ll play at a park in western Wayne County’s Westland. You will be able to join a GroupMe app chat to receive weekly updates and notify your attendance for future pickleball Tuesday events. You need only to register once! \nThere is not a direct cost to participate\, but we do ask attendees each donate a single unopened bottle of water for the Baldwin Center\, a Christian-founded nonprofit in Pontiac that runs a soup kitchen/food distribution center. \nPaddles will NOT be provided. Please bring your own.

DESCRIPTION:Christian single\, you’re hot\, and it’s hot\, so join us on Juneteenth\, Friday\, June 19 to celebrate God’s benevolent blessings to us in this country ahead of its 250th birthday for Freedom Field Day Friday from 6-9 p.m. at a local park in Metro Detroit’s Canton Township (that town with the Ikea!). You’ll get the location details after you register. \nThe park has available courts for pickleball\, volleyball\, and basketball as well as soccer fields and a disc golf course. We’ll also have cornhole. \nThere is no direct cost to sign-up\, but we ask attendees to donate a new baseball or other sports equipment from this list for Leveling the Playing Field\, a nonprofit that supports access to youth sports in southeast Michigan. \nParticipation in this fellowship event is not limited to a specific age range. DESCRIPTION:Wish church had a place for singles? Looking to meet other local\, professing single believers in person? Sick of dating apps? Want to skip the awkwardness of approaching a stranger at random? Looking for intentionality and investment? \nEqually Yoked Christian Speed Dating is your answer! Speed dating entails a series of brief back-to-back conversations to decide with whom to march. Contact information (email address) will be shared when two people both agree to match. Participants do not have to be from a particular denomination or church\, but should be involved in and regularly attending a church. Registration is required on Eventbrite. No walk-ins welcome. \nNEW for this event is we are embracing Michigan’s summer weather and doing outdoor walk-and-talk speed dating at local park in Wyandotte. Please note the location listed in this event is the town hall and is NOT where we’ll be meeting. You will receive the park location after registering. \nParticipants will be able to roam the green space and walk along the beautiful Detroit riverfront for the duration of each of their six-minute conversations. There also is plenty of bench space. A smartphone will be required for participation. \nIn the event of rain or inclement weather\, we will reschedule for Saturday\, August 8.
